Tommy Martin – Class of '80
What a wonderful surprise to find this website and read messages from people I remember & also to take the opportunity to catch up & communicate with Brothers and Sisters in the Lord .
After I finished Clarke, I went to Blue Mountain & graduated in '83, and then I went to New Orleans Seminary & graduated in '86 . Since then I have pastored in the Northeast mainly in the Baltimore - DC. Area. I was less than two miles away from the Pentagon when it was hit on 9/11. At the time, I pastored a church in Alexandria, VA. ,just outside of DC. On that terrible day I was reminded of 3 things :
1)We are ALL just one heartbeat from Eternity ,no matter how old or young.
2)Each day the Lord gives us is precious,a gift not to be taken for granted.
3)NEVER fail to tell your loved ones that you love them ;it just might be your
last opportunity to do so in this life !
In the aftermath of that tragedy , I had the opportunity to minister to quite a few military families & share Jesus with them . Since then, I have returned to Baltimore and currently pastor Woolford Mem.Baptist Church. The Lord has given me the challenge of ministering & and sharing Jesus with bikers and people with substance abuse issues. It's tragic to see what this has done to so many lives, but a blessing to see the Lord put their lives back together when they give their hearts to Him ! I would love to hear from anyone that I went to Clarke with from 1978-1980.Call me anytime at 410-926-0828 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org . Take care & God bless !

I was at Clarke College from 1978-1980. Afterwards, I finished at BMC in 1982. Since then, God has taken me on an incredible journey. It started with a 9 year stay in the US Navy home ported in San Diego, CA. Where I met my wife of 15 years, Suzanne. We left the Navy to attend seminary at GGBTS in Mill Valley, CA. After graduation, Suzanne and I were appointed as missionaries by the IMB of the SBC. We serve among the Moba people of Togo and Ghana in West Africa. The easiest way to contact us is by e-mail. We would love to hear from you. May God richly bless each one of you.

WOW!!!!!! This is awesome I stumbled on this site because I was looking for my college transcripts. What's ironic is that my mom and dad's pastor is the same Benny Still who was instrumental in helping me and my family after the hurricane in 2005. THANKS BRO. BENNY!!!!!
Just a bit about myself, after leaving Clarke I joined the Navy and got married all in the same month and have been married ever since. In 1984 I went to work for International Paper in Moss Point, MS and in 2001 it closed. Now I work in Mobile AL in a Docking crew at Atlantic Marine, the money is quite a bit different, but GOD has truly blessed us.
Inspite of Hurricane Katrina driving 46 inches of water thru our house our spirits are high. We moved out of our FEMA trailer and back into our unfinished house on Decembar 30th. A lot needs to be completed, and I am working on it in between working and keeping up with our 12 yr old son Kelly, who by the way has his own business and web site www.kellysracing.net, (which I listed on my BIO) Kelly is an amazing kid , but at times is FOR SALE, HAHAHAHAHAHA. Just Joking. Well I hope everyone emails or calls me,and lets me know how they have been.

Hello Clarke friends, I attended Clarke in 1978-80. After Clarke, I graduated from Mississippi College with a degree in Elementary Education. I have taught school at Morton Elementary for 18 years.
I am married to Tal Vardaman and we have a "beautiful" 20 month old little boy. My husband also teaches school, is a minister of music and sings with a local gospel group. I am planning a reunion for the Class of 1980 and the freshman of 1979-80, Saturday, July 29, 2000.
If you are in those classes, know anyone who was, or attended Clarke at that time and would like to come - please write to me and I will send you a letter with all the details.

What a thrill I received when my former roommate from Clarke made me aware of this web page. Clarke College was truly a special place.
I gained friendships (Sarah Puckett and Tanya Carr) that will last from now until the end of time. It was such a joy to be able to attend a school
where others shared the same love for the Lord as yourself.
In March of 1984 I married Greg Walker from Wiggins, MS and that is where I now live. We have one daughter Jewelia (Jewel-li-a) Clare that we call J.C
She is eight years old and the joy of our lives. I have worked for the state Forestry Commission for twenty years.
My husband and I are very active members of Vardaman Street Baptist Church in Wiggins where we both teach sunday school.
We are also very active in our AWANA's (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed) program. The Lord has truly blessed me and my husband.
I look forward to hearing from people that I have thought of often but had no way of contacting.
Steven and Dena Pitre Beasley - Class of '81
I want to update our past site. We are now living in Stratford, CT. Steven is in his 19th year in the United States Coast Guard. He is now known as Senior Chief Beasley.
Our oldest daughter Keisha is 23, married 1&1/2 years to a wonderful fellow, Trey Spangler. They are furthering their education at Southern Seminary in Loiusville, KY.
Kaleb(19) our middle child, is in his third year at the University of Southern Mississippi, in Hattiesburg, MS. He has just returned from Summer Missions in New York City. He was part of the New Hope New York Project. He loved it, and said that God is truly doing a great work in NY.
Our youngest daughter, Danielle, (Dani 15), is a Junior, at the Stratford High School. She plans to attend Mississippi College in the future to further her music career.
Steven is stationed in New Haven, CT, where he is the Senior Chief Engineer. He loves his work here. We have lived in so many places, from Coast to Coast, but none as beautiful as this place. We live in a Lighthouse Keepers house, with a real Lighthouse in our yard. You can't imagine the view. We have gorgeous sunsets, and a view of the Long Island Sound. Southern Baptist Churches are few in between.
Please pray that God will send Church planters to this area to start Southern Baptist Churches! One day we plan on settling down in MS. Maybe even run into some of you guys. In the mean time please keep in touch. Clarke College holds some of the most precious memories for me. Hope to get in on a reunion one day!
Love in Christ, from the Northeast,

Hey Everyone! This website is great! Sidney and I attended the 2001 Clarke College Reunion and learned about it. After growing up in Florida, we have planted roots here in Hickory, Mississippi. It has been a great place to raise our three sons...Caleb, Joshua, and Noah.
Caleb is a freshman at East Central Community College majoring in music education. Joshua is in the 9th grade. He is our peacemaker ...most of the time. Noah is in the 7th grade. He definitely is his father's son.....aggravating! Sidney and I have been teachers in the Newton County School system for 13 years. We would love to hear from any of you.

Tim Key -Class of '81(AA) and '84(BM)
Clarke College holds a special place in my life and in the foundation of my ministry. Many friendships and memories were made on that holy campus. I was one of the few students to graduate in 1981 with an AA in music and again in 1984 with a BM in Church Music.
If you attended Clarke from August 1979 to May 1984, I'd love to hear from you. And, if you are ever in Orlando, drop me an email and let's get together while you are here.
Sarah Puckett Grisham- Class of '81
How wonderful to find this website. My friend, Debbie Allen, told me about it today. What a great place Clarke College was and with such an impact on so many. My dearest friends were met there and today we still keep in touch. Life has been good to me, many ups and downs, but always with Jesus! My husband, David, whom I met at BMC, is a wonderful pastor and husband. We have three children, Celeste, 15; Adrienne (A.J),13; and Drew, 4. I live the the beautiful Sequatchie valley of TN near Chattanooga. I work part-time as a home health nurse case manager. I would love to hear from any of you. Pray for my husband and oldest daughter who leave soon on a volunteer mission trip to Rio de Janerio, Brazil. My youngest daughter has been diagnosed with Crohns disease, so please pray for her and so far is being controlled with medication. Thank you and God bless you all!
